The Possum

The Possum
Heide can neither love nor leave her husband. Only in the fantasies of his funeral does she find refuge from her situation - until her encounter with the new mysterious neighbor forces her to face her reality. “The Possum” subtly questions the role of marriage, expectations of women and the illusion that external change can bring inner peace. It is an examination of questions of longing for self-determination, actual (inner) freedom, but also the realization that this freedom is often associated with painful insights.
